There is a mix-in session each Saturday morning from 10.30am, after the Mens Team Practice. Anyone wishing to play after 10.30am should mix in with members waiting to play

On Sundays, players may arrange their own games until 10.30am. After that time, a volunteer organises the mix-in session to make sure everyone gets to play in a reasonably balanced foursome.

The Sunday play rule is to play one short set (i.e. 6-5) with no tie-break and with sudden death on the second deuce.

The Organiser will attend from 10 a.m. ­- Midday (Minimum)

• To assist with the club mix in from 10.30.a.m.

• To assess standard of all players present.

• To balance these players in competitive games i.e. four strong players or two strong and two weaker players or four weak players, playing one set and then coming off to be re-mixed.

• To ensure that all those present receive a fair proportion of such games.

• To hold back from playing themselves unless numbers dictate or until later in the session

Sunday Morning Mix-Ins

Our friendly and welcoming Sunday morning mix-in sessions are a good way to meet and play with new people.

If you are new to the Club they are an excellent place to start, as an organiser will ensure that you are put into a four for doubles play. Organisers are volunteers kindly giving their time, so all members must cooperate in a generous and positive spirit.

The session is from 10.30am to 12 noon. Short sets are played: at 5 games all one more game is played to decide the match and there is a sudden death on the second deuce. The session organiser will explain this and ensure these rules are followed. The Club provides tennis balls.
