Holly Lodge Day
On a cold and frosty Sunday Dec 13th Father Christmas came to play tennis at Sheen. The tournament started at 10.00 and was held in aid of the Holly Lodge in Richmond Park.
The courts were buzzing, carols were playing and mince pies and mulled wine was being served. Some members dressed up, we had Father Christmas and even an Angel. We also held a raffle.
The American tournament was won by Nigel Cowlin for the men and Jane Rogerson for the women. Jean Sexton won the prize for best costume.
After the tournament the festivities continued at 6.30 with the Christmas Party. The food was organised by Ruth Fenton, Roz Barder, Janet Bostock, Zaman Choudhury and Caroline Barker. Thanks to Judy and June for manning the bar.
Dancing followed and a great evening was had by everyone.
